2011 Season Preview (posted March 20th, 2011)

Well the 2011 season is just around the corner, so it’s about time for a preview of our year! Sadly, last year was a short year, with business at home getting in the way of fun at the track. Luckily, this year we plan on running four races, with three of them taking place at our home track of Road America. The lone away race is at another favorite, Mid-Ohio. Check the “Upcoming Races” tab for more info on those!

Right now, old #43 is still sitting in the basement awaiting some attention. She is up on jack-stands awaiting the while the engine is still away at Huffaker Engineering. Last year at Road America we lapped under 2:40 for the first time ever and hopefully with the fresh engine we can do even better. We’re hoping that the off-season track time at Bondurant will help as well!

Another update is the fact that an old friend in the tire business found us some proper Goodyears. These are the same size as the originals, but obviously more modern, so we hope that helps too. You would be surprised how hard it is to find a set of 13” racing slicks!

On a more sentimental note, our car is now officially entering middle age! It’s hard to believe that she will be 40 years old next year!
