Back in 1969......
In 1969 I was a senior in high school and worked part time at Chuck Fellmer Imports in Waterloo, Iowa It was a MG-Austin-Jaguar-Fiat-Lotus Dealership. Part of my job was to tend to Chuck’s race cars. Beginning with a MGB then he bought a Elva Porsche and finally a Ferrari 206 SP that ran at the 1966 Sebring 12 hour race. First time out the Ferrari blew the V6 engine and after I pulled the motor it got pushed out back and sat under a cover. Eventually Chuck had me take it over to my brothers Standard Oil Station where I was working evenings. For the longest time Chuck was after me to buy it but with my vast knowledge I knew no old race car was worth $3500!
The black and white photo is the car disassembled the last photo is I believe the same car with a slightly higher sale price.
